Subsidy on Vermi Compost Unit: Organic farming is called a means of increasing productivity at low cost. This is such a model, due to which along with the soil, health also remains healthy. Organic farming improves soil structure and also benefits the environment. Due to this, the number of bacteria in the soil and the ground water level is also maintained. Organic fertilizers also play an important role in increasing the productivity of the crop along with the balance of the environment. Vermi compost is also included in this category, which is also known as earthworm manure. Today the demand for organic products is increasing, due to which other farmers are also turning towards organic farming.
Along with this, the demand for organic fertilizers has also increased. To meet the demand for organic fertilizers in many states, farmers are being motivated to set up vermicompost units along with animal husbandry, so that good profits can be taken by reducing the cost. Governments also provide technical and financial help to the farmers in this work. Farmers of Rajasthan are given subsidy for setting up vermicompost unit. For this, applications are also sought from farmers from time to time.
Subsidy on vermi compost unit
Under Vermi Compost unit establishment, 50% subsidy of the total cost or a maximum grant of Rs 50,000 will be given for setting up vermi compost unit with concrete construction of size 30 feet x 8 feet x 2.5 feet. Wherein HDPE For vermi bed unit (12 ft x 4 ft x 2 ft size), there is a provision of 50% subsidy on the total expenditure or a maximum grant of Rs 8000 per unit.

- On verification of vermi compost unit, the name of farmer, father’s name, subsidized vermi compost unit under National Horticulture Mission and subsidized year will be mentioned here.
- At the end, the photo of the vermicompost unit will be submitted to the Horticulture Department’s office.
Which farmers will get the benefit?
If you are also a farmer of Rajasthan, then you will be entitled to the subsidy given by the government for setting up vermicompost unit.
- The benefit of this scheme will be given only to the farmers doing organic farming on their land or the farmers of the areas coming under organic farming.
- It is mandatory for the farmer to have at least 0.4 hectare of own cultivable land, which is getting the production of horticulture crops (fruits, vegetables, medicines, spices etc.).
- Livestock, water and organic matter should also be available for the raw materials used in the vermicompost unit.
- It is mandatory for the farmer to have Jan Aadhaar card, Bhamashah card, Jamabandi of land, copy of bank passbook.
Apart from this, Ajmer, Alwar, Banswara, Barmer, Bhilwara, Bundi, Chittorgarh, Dungarpur, Sriganganagar, Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Jalore, Jhalawar, Jhunjhunu, Jodhpur, Kota, Nagaur, Pali, Sirohi, Sawai Madhopur, Tonk, Udaipur, Baran, Farmers of Karauli district will get priority benefits.
